Cafeteria mural: What's your opinion?

Loyalist College recently removed the mural covering the wall between the cafeteria and the gym. The mural was created in 2003 by Gilles Miramontes, who was not informed of the decision. School officials say sections of the mural were deteriorating, and its removal was necessary to restore and renew the cafeteria space.

What is your opinion? Should the school have asked or informed Miramontes before removing the mural? What would you like to see done with the space now?
